it's appropriate depending on the dress code for the wedding. Chances are it is not black tie so you should be OK.

I'd say nice, neat pants (no jeans, sweatpants, shorts, etc.) with a dressy blouse, or with a plain blouse and a pretty scarf, etc. would be fine to wear for a wedding. If you have a pantsuit, that would be great, too. I'm sure the couple will care more about the fact that you are there than they will about what you are wearing! Go and enjoy!!
I have worn nice pants outfits to three weddings so far this summer and no one has ever criticized me for it. I have psoriasis (most people don't realize it just from seeing my hands and face) and I wear long pants and long-sleeved blouses all the time to spare everyone the sight of my flaky, blotchy, red/purple skin. I don't wear long skirts because I think it would look too much like I wanted to be in the wedding or to compete with the bridal party.

haha oh. i was just sitting here thinking how funny it would be to show up at a wedding with no pants...but then i realized you were talking about wearing a skirt instead, rather than nothing at all. you could always go shopping for an occasion appropriate outfit, if you feel the pants are inappropriate and the skirts you have dont work either. i think that's probably the best solution, to go buy something you know will work. good luck!

If you have an Ann Taylor Loft, make a visit. Or go check out T.J. Maxx or Target. I find really nice things there all the time. Go look for skirts that would be appropiate to wear to a wedding. If you wear pants...Nice dress pants with heels and a dressy top would work. But not a boring work button down. Check out the site below to Ann Taylor Loft. Or you can find a fun wrap dress or shift dress.

If this is a woman, I would say a nice pants suit is good, but a man of then a suit or business casual. Its a wedding, you don't want to show up wearing jeans and not dressed for the occasion.

No I don't think it is appropriate! If you definetly don't have a skirt or dress and can't go get one. Then I suggest you at least wear slacks (dressy pants), with a nice blouse and some hills.

I don't see why you couldn't wear a nice pair of dress pants to the wedding.I think a nice pair of dress pants would be just fine to wear to a wedding.you could always ask the bride what she thinks of you wearing pants to her wedding.just explain to her that you're not sure if it would be ok to wear pants to her wedding. and you wanted to see what the dress code was for her wedding before you showed up in pants.good luck

I would be upset if a girl showed up in pants to my wedding. If you can not afford to get a tasteful new outfit, then see if you can borrow a dress or skirt from a friend.

Yes it IS appropriate. Now a days most girls will have on skirts and dresses that show practically everything, and that is supposedly acceptable. Yes, Dress pants are just fine, pair them with a nice top and you're all set to have a great time! Have fun!
