No. They basically limit fresh fruit that is grown in Canada. And apples is probably the largest fruit crop in Canada. It can have fungus, diseases, or insects inside, etc. that may infect the local crop. You can bring in tropical fruit - basically saying fine if it isn't grown here. But that still has to be clean and pest free. And any processed food, frozen, canned or dried.

Sorry, but that's a real no-no. The farmer might assure you the apples are clean and free of parasites, but he has no way of proving it and the regulations simply state 'no apples'. No fresh fruit, in fact. You might get away with pineapples, because there are no pineapple farms in Canada, but there certainly are Canadian apple orchards -- lots of them. So, sorry. No fresh apples.

No, I think the rule of thumb for coming or going to/from US/Canada is no fresh fruit. (I came back from NH to Canada a couple days ago and I just remembered I had a couple apples but they didn't search us or anything).

How do you know they are "free from parasites"?
Do you have a certificate from a lab showing that?
Why do people persist in trying to get fruit, etc. across international borders?

even as i turned right into a toddler turning out to be up in Edmonton I ate them extremely plenty. yet certain, you may carry a sealed container of those from the u . s .. in basic terms aspect out them to the border officer is they ask once you've any food products in the vehicle or your suitcase if flying. I carry packaged food by the border each and each of the time.
