what is women's lib?

O ok. Not at all really. Remeber when women were working and making less then men simply because they were women? That wasn't fair at all. These days families need 2 incomes coming in and wouldn't be the same if women were unable to work. My fiance and I both work and both of our kids are very happy.

Male answering.

No I don't. Women's Lib (or equality) has generally been a good thing. It has produced women who are more confident and self reliant, which I believe makes them better role models.

Women going out to work has benefits both for the woman, in mental stimulation, and for children, who in good day care can develop better social skills.

HOWEVER, I do belive that women's lib has been part of the liberalisation over the past 40 years that has replaced "human responsibilities" with "human rights". That has been abused, and has led to a degradation of society.

The ideas were good, they have just been misapplied.

NO, I think we are raising less pig headed boys and more girls to know that the sky is the limit. Why do you think that it is less secure? I have been a single mother for 5 years and my son is VERY well rounded!!!!!!!!!!!!! His father has nothing to do with him so it is just us and I don't think for a minute that I am doing him harm by raising him the way I do. I work to support him and he is a healthy loving strong headed young man and he RESPECTS women and doesn't think that they are only good for staying home and having babies!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

No - I see no evidence that it has and plenty of evidence that it didn't. Nothing happy or secure in a house with a bored, resentful desperate woman in it.

yes I do, actually. But it's the price we pay for equality and freedom. I think it's a high price, but that's just me.
