It doesn't make much sense because you don't need to have Gatorade on the plane. What other usless senseless junk are you toting along?

Because Signals Intercepts uncovered a plot to take 2 or 3 liquids aboard planes disguised as the contents of a sports drink bottle. While in-flight the bad guys would then mix those disguised liquids and ignite with some common electronic device. The conversations or emails revealed that some of the sports drink bottles would have a false bottom which would allow that bottle to have both a sports drink and the explosive component in it. This would allow the bad guy to drink from the bottle if needed to pass security.

So quit your whinning!!

You have no constitutional right to drink whatever, whenever at the risk of all passengers aboard a plane being blown-up.

Get over the minor inconvenience. The foiled plot directly related to sports drinks bottles.

airlines are getting ridiculous anymore. Have you ever heard the radio add/joke about the customer having to empty out all his blood and it would be put in bags and he could have it back when he got to the end of his travels because blood was explosive too....it's the funniest skit on the whole airline drama that's going on right now.

Because somebody at the TSA with too much time and an overactive imagination got hold of the Mentos-and-Diet-Coke video.

We don't have time to check liquids to see if they're legit or not. Sorry you're so inconvenienced. Get over it. Pretty soon, there won't be any carry-ons.

Govt entities have little sway on decision making. It's simply people doing their job. They don't have much of a choice either.
