It doesn't say that. It does say that we should love one another and be kind.

It sounds like you had an encounter with a person or persons who were rude and intolerant to you, and that was not fair to you. I am newly a Christian, and used to be so turned off by the idea of God....I though he would never have "someone like me" in his family.........what I mean by that is that I know that I make mistakes and am not perfect, and am a sinner. I learned that Jesus Christ died to pay for all that I do wrong, so that in God's eyes I am pure and can enter into heaven with him.

Not all people are cruel to others who don't share their faith. If they are, then they are not following what their faith teaches them after all. Don't confuse God with the people that claim to know all about him. No one can measure up to Him, and we need to remember this, so that we can accept the most wonderful and accepting love that there is...the love of God.

I hope that this reached you in some way, or answered your question. Take care.

That is a fantastic point. There are too many people, esp. on here who like to take a pop at people just because they have a different belief system to them. There has already been enough trouble caused throughout the centuries by the intolerances between those of different faiths. It is very sad that people get a kick out of being so disrespectful to one another.

Probably in the same place as the Koran instructs Muslim's to be suicide bombers.
And on the subject of intolerance, I think the Christian religiob is a lot more tolerant than the Islamic religion. Look at womens rights under Islam / Sharis law. At least Christianity allows women to be educated, and have equal rights with men.
Thats intolerance.

it doesnt say this ever, some Christians are determined to give the good, faithful, understanding ones, a bad name.
In the parable Jesus tells of the good Samaritan, who was not of their community, who helped an israelite who got mugged and beaten up badly. Then, in Corinthians 13, the entire little chapter explains what love is. (because of the 3 things which lasts forever, that being Faith, Hope and Love) Love is the greatest. One of the things Love isnt, according to that part of the bible, is that love is never rude...never selfish...never quite a number of other things. So, no, we are called on to Love our neighbours as ourselves, and never to be rude...

It doesn't and anyone who says they are religious and are rude and intolerant are not followers of our Saviour who set the example that we should all Love one Another.

What a better world we would live in if we did.

God Bless.

1Pe 3:15
But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear

In other words, those who are rude and intolerant are in the wrong.

You're thinking of the Bible the media uses not the King James version. And the Koran, although I don't know where in either because they're both obsolete, along with your ignorance and lack of original wit.

Actually...in the old testament they killed those who did not share their faith. I'd say Christianity has come a long way with "tolerance". Militant muslims, on the other hand...

In the same place it says Thou shalt not to kill unless they are Christians so wipe them out.

The Bible is unfortunatly full of oxymorons, it's hard to beleive there is a single person who has ever successfully lives a happy life in the real world following the rules is lie down.
