OK first get your figures right. 2,635 dead
19, 773 wounded
as of 9-1-06
second, how many(funerals)have you been to , they are defending your rights....unless you would prefer to be attacked by terrorists again?
I have 2 brothers over there.
War is never pretty, I don't like that my brothers are in danger....but they did sign up for the military of their own will...they signed on to do what the leaders of this country tell them to.
Also give a little more thought when you bad mouth Bush, as he is not the only decision maker....he has awhole bunch of advisers.
I'll bet you where one of the people after 9-11 saying GO GET THEM!!!, I know I was and if you weren't....why not?
My last point is...everyone likes to talk, but unless you have personally been president of the USA, you have no idea what it takes.
So quit being a SH@T

I do not know. Did Roosevelt go to any of the 300,000 funerals during WW II?
Did Johnson go to any of the 60,000 funerals during Viet Nam?
If President Bush did go to any of the funerals I would hope we wouldn't know about it. Seems like his presence would overshadow the service. Not to mention the jeopardy he would place all the attendees in as a potential terrorist targets.
Have a point next time.

No, he has not been to funerals because if he were to go to one then others would be left out. It makes sense to me. He has faithfully gone to Walter Reed Army Hospital, awarded Purple Hearts, and invited injured troops to the White House. I've seen pics, but you don't see that on CNN (Clinton News Network) or MSNBC (MesSNBC). It's a shame because they have a vendetta against Bush just as strong as your idiotic comments above. You don't care if Bush went or not, you just wanted a forum. You're a disgrace to intellectual integrity!

He has met with every fallen soldier's family, but believes his presence at funeral would be a circus & distraction to a grieving family. His respect for the families outweigh his need for publicity. Considering your question, you prove him to be correct.
God bless each family.

or the thousands who died because clinton was cowardly to go after terrorism during his time.
or FDR who is directly responsible for many more thousands neeedlessy killed because of his orders previous to Pearl Harbor.
Dont forget FDR actually considered (and later rejected) tearing up the consistution in his first days in office.
He is the only pres in history to even think of it.. doubtful that any other would have even thought of it.

I agree wth 'cranky' how many have YOU been to? You wouldnt understand the full meaning of our loss of the heros and their ultimate sacrifice, you just take advantage of it everyday by spewing those hateful word you so freely speak now.
