If you can afford to get the mercury i would go with that. It's more expensive up front but in the long run you will be glad that you didnt get the isuzu. Isuzu's are know for having major mechanical problems even before they have high miles. Also the isuzu will become a rust bucket. Sables are know to be very reliable cars, its almost the exact same car as a Taurus and are commonly used as state and government cars because of their reliability. Another reason the Sable is better in the long run is that parts are much easier and cheaper to find. Good Luck.

It depends on your financial status. You could buy the 96 Isuzu - probably spend less in liscense and insurance. It may need repairs - but how many repairs would it take to make up the $10,000 (not including interest) differance for purchasing the sable? I'd go with the Isuzu!

The Merc, I have driven them and are good. Try to get a good deal. If you buy the isuzu pay no more than 1000 transference included.

Go get the Consumer Reports guide. Consumer Reports states clearly which cars are reliable and which are not.
