Do you feel intimidated or turned off by a woman who is very responsible for herself, and does everything independently doesn't matter if she is attractive?

Do you prefer the woman who is needy and dependent instead of the other one?

Do women like that makes you feel kind of bothered?

I feel I am single because of this. Men are afraid to come to me because I always look busy.

Women always assume that men are intimidated by independent women but being independent or busy is different from being unapproachable. Men don't want to be bothered with a woman who feels she has to prove her independence. Men love women who are strong enough to ALLOW someone to take care of them. Be approachable.

Are those the only two options you're offering?

The only two reactions to a responsable/independant woman is either intimidation or being tuned off?

Personally, I like intelligent women. It doen't matter to me if she's the sort who will live with her parents until the day she gets married, or she was living on her own at 16, and is now a university professor. I'm more likely to be turned off by an annoying laugh than by responsability.

Although I'm not sure how indipendant you are if you still expect all men to "come to you" rather than going out and getting one for yourself.

Are you kidding? The most attractive females I know are the independant "got their sh*t together" ones. There's nothing hotter than a female with ambition.

At the same time, they can be intimidating, because you don't know if you are in the same league as them. I'll never step up to a top notch female.. I wait til they step up to me.

Yet and still.. I'd rather ride with those types because they push me to become a better person.

Hello candykills,

It's not the responsibility or independence that is unattractive. Guys actually go for confident women just like women do with guys. I think that the problem is that busy women are usually too busy to spend time with them, and they look elsewhere for girls.

If someone has ever asked you for a date, and you turned them down because of your schedule, well, there's your answer.

I like when a women is independent, and men are not affraid of you because of that, we are just shy. sometimes you must cooperate for a guy to get near you and ask you out.
Is better when a woman is that way. just makes things easier for us.

My wife is a Ph.D. researcher with about 10 people working for her, it doesn't bother me a bit.

If you're having trouble, you may have to make extra effort to seem approachable. Smile a lot and ask a guy questions that show your interest. Get him to talk about his own life and interests.
