GET IT OFF JUST CANNED FOOD>>>>> Not good for the teeth, they need the dry food to strengthen the teeth and make them strong. Feed the dog a good meal twice a day. If it is a large dog, feed a large butter dish twice per day. If a medium size dog feed feed half that and a small dog a couple cups twice a day. It is best not to feed the cheap commercialized dog foods if u feed innova canidae or solid gold u will find the dog eats less and is more satisfied. The science diet, eukanuba, iams, pedigree, etc, etc, etc are nothing but fillers with alot of grain and by-products they stay hungry feeding these foods and the nutrients are no good.

It depends on the size and activity level of you dog. I have had two different vets tell two different views on the subject of how many times a day you should feed a dog. The vet I use now told me to feed my larger dog several small meals throughout the day to prevent bloat. It is something I worry about so I do break up his food throughout the day.

The first question is what are you feeding your dog. High quality food like Wellness, a dog weighing 70 lbs will eat approx 2-2.5 cups per day. If you are feeding a yucky food like pedigree then your dog will eat more like 4-5 cups a day. It all depends. Please feel free to email me at imablond87@sbcglobal.net ... (Just put What should I feed my dog in the Subject line.)I have worked for High quality foods and I can tell you what to look for so that your dog can stay extreamly healthy and happy.

It depends on what kind of dog you have.Next read the label on the dog food, and it will tell you how much to give a dog that's the size you have, it is usually based on wieght and age.

If you feed quality dog food like Nutro, Authority, or Purina Pro Plan, the bag will have the amount of food per pound of dog written on the bag.

Check with your vet. Or read the back of the dry food bag, they tell you how much to feed per dogs weight.

It depends on your dog's weight. A 120 pound dog will need a lot more food than a six pound dog.
