okay so there's this guy and i've liked him for about a year now and he's always been stuck on my EX best friend...we stopped being friends about two years ago...well she dumped him in july and he talks and flirts with me and yesterday he asked me out for diner and she was PISSED. It seems like every time something good happens with me and him she gets in the way. She was all over him today and was all like oh my god ethan i love you...what should i do about her without promoting violence?

Rather than taking this to her, speak to him, tell him your concerns without sounding like a possessive gf. Say to him that if you 2 are to work out how you both want to he has to put her in the picture and tell her to back off.
If that fails just make sure you get the first punch in, OK? ;o)

The guy does not own you or that other woman. Likewise, you do not ownership of the guy.
When he takes you out, that is not a free ticket to sex after dinner. Be a lady and say that you want to get to know him over some time. If he gets angry, he's just a predator, like many guys. If he's nice to you and keeps asking you out and shows he's a one woman man, it can work.
The other gal? Let her keep up the nonsense if she chooses. Remember, the only person you have control over is yourself!!!

Just ignore her. there's nothing for you TO do. Ethan can make up his own mind. Don't make yourself look insecure by confronting the other girl cuz you're jealous. Wouldn't you rather feel good enough about yourself to KNOW that Ethan would rather have YOU than HER.
I suggest that if you are going to have a talk with her, then make friends with her.

Girl you need to talk to him first before you go to her cause if you go to her there will be a cat fight talk to him and ask him if he still has feelings for her but the first thing you wanna do is ask him where are things going between you and him and if its going into a good direction then tell him to tell his ex to leave you guys alone so he can move on with his life with you but if he has feelings for her then you need to tell him who do you really wanna be with me or her because rememeber she dumped you and now shes all over you because your with me in a way and ask him if he wants to be with you tell him to tell his ex its over its not gonna happen again.

well, i think u should play it hard cool, this is your ex best friend who once moved out with this guy and broke uo and now this guy is hitting on u and ur ex best friend isn't happy about it, well, i say u should be a proud person and give them space, and try and ignore your ex best friend and leave the guy alone. there are zillion other guys who'd take care of you. so jus sit down and tell your ex best friend that she do whatever she wants, it's her life not yours....u got better things to worry about right, unless of course u like him, if u do, play hard to get.....
