What would you have the doctors do? There is no cure and the treatment is usually something she can do herself. A change of diet to help control Meniere's symptoms usually helps. Eliminating caffeine, alcohol and salt may relieve the frequency and intensity of attacks in some people. Eliminating tobacco use and reducing stress levels may lessen the severity of the symptoms. Medications that either control allergies, reduce fluid retention or improve blood circulation in the inner ear may also help. It's not life threatening and she should be just fine by controlling the frequency and severity of attacks.

i cant help you with the doctor issues but i can tell you that my sister has the same thing and the best thing they told her to do was to not eat anything with sodium in it. the salt can make the water build up and can be fatal if there is too much...so while i hope you can get medication for her tell her to stay away from anything that is salty and anything with sodium in it.

wow, if you find out please let me know, i'm actually trying to find some low cost insurance for my daughter. her doctor just diagnosed her with the same thing last week. my prayers are for your sister also.
