In order to have world peace there has to be no sin in the world, thus you need Jesus Christ. People try to live their lives and try to be "good people" but they can sin on the side. It is impossible to build a perfect society by following the evil carnal side of people.

But it's promised that there will be world peace finally, thank God seriously, when Jesus comes to rule for a millenium, but too bad there will be so much sin, the world will get more wicked and evil before he comes.

No. Ezekiel says that when they say that there will be peace, that sudden destruction will come.
There will be no peace until the Prince of Peace, the Messiah returns for His people.

Peace: The time between two wars

Relying on God to fix this world is the ultimate in buck-passing.
God didn't screw up the world, people did.

If you want the world to be a better, more peaceful place, get off of your butt and DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT. Your momma probably told you, God helps those who help themselves. Volunteer in your community, get involved in a organization doing great things in the world, take canned goods to local food banks that feed the homeless...anything would be better than waiting around for the Second Coming and blaming the ills of the world on THOSE people. There is no "Them." There is only "Us."

BTW..."carnal" does not equal "evil."

Carnal, adj. 1. Relating to the physical and esp. sexual appetites. 2. Worldly or earthly, temporal. 3. Of or relating to the body or flesh.

There is nothing inherently bad about our bodies, the world or sex. Get over yourself. While you are worrying about whether or not people are actually enjoying their lives, greed, hatred & arrogance are busy inciting wars.

No wars = peace. That's a pretty simple equation, don't you think?

True peace will come when the Prince of Peace comes. Don't forget the Bible says that many shall claim peace, but in reality there shall be no peace. During the 1000 year reign, there will be peace on earth even though there will be the saved and the lost living as we live now. No sin will prevail because Jesus, the Prince of Peace will be ruling. But the lost man's heart will still be lost and in need of salvation. Some will be saved, but others as now will reject Christ. Once the 1000 year reign is over peace will come to an end and Satan will once again be released to wreck havoc. During this time is when the Battle of Armageddon will take place and then the Great White Throne Judgment.

World peace can't exist but that isn't because of religion. It's sure that religion gives us some values but even when people used to be really religious, there were war and crimes (world war 1 & 2 happened in that time so). I think that world peace could not exist for the only thing that we're living for ourselves without caring enough about others, and for these who do care, they care about their nations, what can lead to fanatism and to war. I know there are good people out there but, for me, that's how society is becoming, selfish, and that's why we can't have word peace. Even in ancient times people were selfish, religion was sometimes just a way to make war.

Peace will come through Jesus Christ only. First of all what does peace means? Where is the starting point of peace? What is the difference between artificial peace and real peace? Why we need peace? Why the world leading scientists need peace and believe in God? What is the secret behind peace? Best answers for all these questions are available in BIBLE. Just read Bible when you need peace and anything!
Believe it or leave it. But I believe in the Almighty GOD. I have thousands of reasons why I convinced to believe. Thanks for reading. Let the peace of God will be with you!!

Even with Jesus Christ, there is no peace. Remember the Christian Crusades of the Middle Ages? Remember the Inquisitions? Remember the religious wars of the Reformation Period? Have you ever looked at the very Christian religious fighting in Ireland?

Just because people aren't Christians, doesn't make them evil people...

Absolutely. Why does there have to be no sin to have world peace? That is rediculous. You can have world peace and still have some bad people. And since when can world peace only occur with a "perfect society". I would say Canada is pretty peaceful, but they are not perfect.

World peace is impossible if people hold on to the concept that there is a judgemental god and that he believes in sin, hell, etc. Those who are spiritually immature will NEVER understand this but those who aren't see how dangerous these concepts (projected from people's minds) are.

The world would be much better without religion.
That's why the Earth is so f u c k e d up.
Religion is just a reason to hate people.

You are joking, right?

Maybe you are unaware that without religion a couple things would happen:

1. Wars wouldn't be fought for religious and sectarian reasons. Food, land, women, and beer, yes....but no more religious wars.

2. The human population would be smaller (even after taking into account 1 above). Just ask the Catholics and Mormons about that one.

Get a clue, read a book from the science section maybe.

Here's my theory on why there will never be world peace.

Have you ever worked in an academic research lab? They are very diverse and inclusive places. All races, both genders, all sexual orientations, all nationalites are able to work side by side--until two people want the same three feet of bench space, then all heck breaks loose.
