These uniforms freakin tear so easily. They seem to fade after every wash.

well for 230 years the army used buttons and sewing and it seemed to work just fine some jack a ss thought it would be a great idea to use Velcro and zippers the Velcro wheres out like after 100 washes and the zipper is stupid what was wrong with buttons

I don't like them. For one thing everyone looks like shapeless blobs in them. I liked the fitted style of the BDU's better, and the sharpness of the polished black boots worn with the BDU's. The ACU velcro looks tacky, this huge velcro sqare with a tiny unit patch stuck on it. I know my complaints have nothing to do with how practical they are supposed to be, it's all about the looks for me since I'm surrounded by people wearing them all day and have to look at them. But I have heard from some that they really aren't more practical, and like you said they tear easily and wear out faster. My husband does say they are more comfortable, that's the only reason he likes them.

Well, unfortunatly the lowest bidder got the contract to make teh ACU's. That said- they are lighter- more comfortable in the heat.

Blends better in sand area & they are coller in 118 degree
heat of Iraq & etc. This is not a fashion show or even a durable point. What is best for our soldiers?

Its the cheap and lazy way! You don't have to iron em and soldiers have to buy em more often cause of the fading!

Me and my friend are off the opinion they look like pajama's, but they are badly made and that velcro who thought of that!!!!
