"sl*ut" and "ho`", really great words--thanks for using them soooo much! what are the male equivilants? anyone? no, "rake" and "cad" don`t count--no one uses them. "dawg" has positive connotations, so you can`t have that. any suggestions? and one more thing--why are hate and meaness the end result of many of these "couplings"? granted, there is also a lot of love and happiness going on; but what`s with all the hateful things that get said and done in many other cases? aren`t we supposed to be each other`s shelter? that "soft place to land" when the rest of the world treats us unkindly? sex is about love and trust (no, REALLY!). when and HOW did it get to be about power and shame?

you're right call a man a:

bastard -- you're talking about his mother who gave birth to illegimate child

ho -- he takes pride that he sleeps around

the b word -- he can't relate

basically the only thing you can get a man where it hurts is to insult his johnson, he shoots blanks, or something of that nature and the daddy of them all insult the size.

And another thing, in adult movies, the guy rarely shows his face, but the camera is all in the women's face. I really believe most of those men don't want to be seen doing that. I saw one where their faces were digitally covered.

You're right double standard.

This is really complicated.. I think it's rooted deep within history.. What I find wierd is that women perpetuate this double standard.. A very sexually active woman I know calls other similar women skanks and hos, and refers to active men as studs.. I guess it might have to do with the fact that most men have very few partners (despite wanting more) while a very few men have hundreds.. So those men stand out (as a success), and since women compete for them, perhaps that's where some of the nastiness comes in (jealousy).. Also, women don't typically have to 'try' to find a partner, hence the descriptors implications of passivity.

I don't think this can be blamed on men. I see both genders perpetuating it.

The whole thing is ugly ( makes yech face )

this comes from our past culture and proper behaviours and also preconditioning ( brain washing from birth)

Girls suppose to sit upright, with their legs together, wear skirts and act with dignity.
nudity was frowned upon, especially for girls, but men it's some what tolerable. and porn was a crime

Now that has all changed
Now women sit with their legs in a more comfortable position. wear less and tighter revealing clothing.

problem we live in a melting pot, of all cultures that have not learned to open up.

It will take time. for changes to occur.
Example women complained in Ontario Canada, that if men can go topless why can't women. the courts agreed.
but you do not see topples girls at the beach. as they will be glared at. Mind you I would enjoy the view myself.
But once it becomes common place all this will change.
it will change, but needs time, and a different mind set, or remove the brain washing

the double standard isn't only there, it's in many other situations in life. i guess that it has all to do with peoples twisted minds , their idea of moral and ****** up opinions. if people wouls stop to have opininons and stick to having their own ideas but not indoctrinating others with their opinions, life would be so much smoother that it is.
as to men being cool and girls beeing whatever when they change partners a lot.... you shpuldn't care too much about what other people say, and if you do, then go on you missions more privately... nobody has to see you dating many different guys and enjoying it (nothing wrong with that, even if you are a girl;-))

Because any woman can have sex anytime she wants for the most part. Men actually have to work to get it sometimes. Thats probably why in a nutshell.

messed up people in our world believe in double standards and its not fair at all - blame society partly as women are supposed to be goody two shoes sitting at home, while men are supposed to be out. men have or used to have more freedom than women too, so i guess women started getting names when they started going out.

oh well cant do much about it.
