I told a Pastor this and he got mad. He called me sinful, and blasphemous. I understand Why?, but i have always given him credit for his teaching and peaceful message. Christianity changed alot of lives. But Why judge me with such words? Why do Christians jump to such extremes when someone states and opinion on their religion??

What i meant be extradionary is his message of peace and enlightnment that was the MAIN point of his teachings (which early catholics failed to realize) There still isnt MUCH proof rather he Said he was God or was Made God. Men wrote the books of the bible. Remember now, The Odessey was supposed to be real, but who really CAN believe the word of man...It comes down to FAITH i guess.

Jesus was either LORD, Liar, or Lunatic.
Those are the only possible choices. Extraordinary Man is not one of the options He left us.
He was crucified because He claimed to be God. He rose from the dead on the 3rd day because He is God.
You are speaking about things you know little about. I encourage you to read The Bible from Genesis to Revelation so that you can get a better understanding.
The Hebrew Scriptures contain more than 300 prophecies about the Messiah who would come, when He would come and how He would die. The only prophecy that hasn't yet be fulfilled is His return in glory. He is not late but is waiting for some to accept Him as their Savior. You see He doesn't want anyone to be lost for eternity. Those who do not accept Him will be without excuse.
Jesus Christ is the fulfillment of those prophecies. In fact He is the only person who ever had His biography written before He was born!

Well, I don't really agree that the minister should have judged you, that was unfortunate. Christianity is not just something to believe in, but it changes your very soul, so if christians get defensive it is because it gets old pretty quick to listen to constant assaults on our way of life. You still shouldn't be judged, at all, but why is it that everyone gets to be God but Jesus? Why is it everyone else gets to be passionate but christians?
Here is why Jesus can't just be an extraordinary man. When Jesus said, Before Abraham was, I am, and the people around him picked up stones, because they knew, he was claiming to be almighty God, a blasphemy for him that was punishable by death. He was either a liar, and knew he wasn't God, he was crazy, and thought he was God, or he was God. Extraordinary men don't go around claiming to be God, mentally ill men do that.

Christians don't have to judge you. The Lord Jesus Christ will when you stand before him to give an account for what you done. Then you will be cast into the Lake of Fire. Revelation 20: 13 And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. Revelation 20: 14 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. Revelation 20: 15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.
You say you don't believe that He was God. You will on your death bed. Are so sure you are right go for it.

As an atheist, I've encountered this often. Their religion teaches them that their faith makes their religion true. Therefore to question its truth is also to be faithless. And by their definition, it is sinful and blasphemous to be faithless.
The Pastor 'judged you' and 'jumped to the extreme', therefore, because his religion has taught him to do so, to be a good 'christian'.
I politely leave all matters of faith unquestioned in their presence. People will believe what they want to believe. I see no point in debating or questioning the obvious inconsistencies and contradictions in religion. Just be polite and ignore them.

Because it is blasphemous.
The same with other religions.
If you want to have that kind of conversations, try Christian Arianism, the opposite to Trinitarian beliefs, they state that Jesus was not the son of god.
Jeez, why do people bash Christians so much? Is obvious that he was going to get mad. Try to tell something similar in another temple of a different faith and you are going to get the same answer

@Peg,
I missed out on the CCD classes. Do they teach about Isaiah's prophecy concerning Jesus?
"For to us a child is born,
to us a son is given,
and the government will be on his shoulders.
And he will be called
Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God,
Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace."

I'm afraid I don't see how Christ could be an extraordinary man. He claimed to be God. Anyone that claims to be God either is telling the truth or insane. So if Christ was only a man, then he had to be insane.

Being very logical about it, No. Scientific view says you need physical mating in the case of mammals to breed, which in Mary's case didn't happen. But if seen as a miracle, name a miracle God cannot peform!!

In the Bible Jesus himself claimed that he was the Son of God. So how can you believe he was an extraordinary man, if you obviously seem to believe he was an imposter and a liar?
