Isn't it enough to be a good person, have good intentions, and help others whenever you have the chance? Why would god want to burn people in hell because they follow the "wrong" religion? What if you were raised by your family from birth to follow a certain religion?

Man is the only one that says you get to heaven through certain religions. Man don't know anything. That's why everyone is a dumbass, because they think they're following God's will but all they ever hear is what Man has said. Just be a good person, how can you not be rewarded because you have always done what is right.

Following a religion doesn't get you into Heaven. You get to Heaven by trusting in Jesus and believing that he is the only way to Heaven. Also, you must trust in Him as your Savior and Lord and believe that God sent His son, Jesus, to die on a wooden cross to save you from your sins. It is definitely not enough just to be a good person or have good intentions. God doesn't want people to go to Hell, He gives them a choice of their own way of life. Even if you were raised to follow a certain religion, like i said before, religion plays a part, but it doesn't make the change in your heart. Hope this helps, i know Jesus will help you if you really want His help. Jesus Loves You

No one goes to hell because of belief, they go to hell for the moral crimes they have committed. No one is basically a good person. I have never met anyone who has not done things they were profoundly ashamed of, myself included. Jesus and the work of the cross provided a way for peoples sins to be removed, so that they could be a good person. Other religions tell you to just keep working at, but there is no way you can remove the harm you've done. and also as you ask "help others whenever you have the chance" nobody has every done all they could. You could always do more, how could you possibly know you'd done enough, you couldn't. The reason people burn as you say is not because they follow the wrong religion, it's because they never got ahold of the one thing that could save them.

It is not enough just to be good, because the bible says that non is good and all have sinned, but God has made a way for us to be redeemed. If you read John 3, you will see that Jesus told nicodemis that he must be born again of water and of Spirit. The water it's speaking of is the baptism in Jesus name and the spirit it's speaking of is the holy Ghost. And we know Jesus was God and if God tells you to do something you better get to doing it. Look also in the book of Acts 2:38,39 where we see peter bringing up the same subject about the holy ghost. Christianity is real and don't let no one lead you astray from it. The bible is not a myth. It was written for our guidance through life. What many don't understand is that God doesn't want any one to go to hell, if that was true we wouldn't be here right now. Many of these religions exist today because of rebellion against God, but remember that Christianity existed before them all and believe me, that it will continue no matter who doesn't believe. Right now I pray that you listen to my words now and believe on what I say because I know that christianity is the true way. Yes there are people out there trying to destroy the christianity way by acting foolish and false, but God's word will continue on.

No it isn't enough to be a "good" person. Because the bible says there are none good. There is no person that has ever lived, except for Jesus, that is/was without sin. Since sin cannot enter the presence of a holy God, there has to be a way for a person to rid themselves of sin. "Making up for it" by your deeds, won't work. There is no way except by Jesus Christ. That is why Jesus died on the cross. If you believe that, then God will see you on judgment day not full of sin, but made clean and blameless through the imputed righteousness of in His son.

By the way, the bible also tells us that God calls people out from every "kindred, nation and tribe". If God knows you will be one of His, it doesn't matter if you're born in China, the US, or anywhere else in the world. He will make sure you find Him, the one true God.

You Don't Have To Follow A Certain Religion, Just Accept That Jesus Christ Died On A Cross For You And Your Sins And Ask Him To Come Into Your Heart.

Wrong!, nobody gets into heaven by following any religion. You can get saved and go to heaven by following Jesus. We don´t make the rules, God does. As long as He is God we must obey Him if we want to have eternal life and live in His kingdom. Even humans do the same. If you lived in a democracy or a monarchy you wold go by the rules of those in charge. Heaven is similar. No sinner will live there. Only those who follow the King of Kings, Jesus Of Nazareth. God bless you!!!

Their is no "wrong" religion, all religions offer spiritual guidance and lead to the same place. God will not burn you in hell because you were in the "wrong" religion that is just a scare tactic that mainly the Christians use. Everyone is born in the place they need to be for their life lessons to be learned.

We don't have to follow a certain religion .....we follow Christ. He is not a religion , His followers are Christians, We believe the Bible is the word of God .....we follow that .....we are not fanatics as some may lable us ...we believe that Jesus is our savior , He died for our sins, and that if we repent of our sin , follow his teachings and instructions to the best of our abilities we will be saved..we are not saints,,
we are all sinners, but we have recieved the knowledge that we are forgiven and should resolve to change our livesand follow him ......
we are changed , we want to be obedient , ask forgiveness when we sin and move on with the promise that we will be rewarded........

Make no mistake , religion is man made with man made laws, constantly changing to suit the times.......the word of God is constant , never changes , ...........
that is not to say some people in religions are not saved , .....only God knows the heart .our job is to search for Him ....gain a understanding , ask for answers from people who know and be responsible for our lives and actions........Choose the right thing no matter how hard it is to do it .....

All you have to do is accept Jesus as your Lord and savior and son of God and follow the teachings of the bible. There is actually a group of believers who find religion confusing and crazy to argue about which religion is right. The bible don't refer to a religion only to the belief and acceptance of Jesus Christ and following the word of God. These people are called Christian non-denominational. They call themselves Christians because they are followers of christ.
