I took a couple of correspondence courses (because my alma mater, in its infinite wisdom, required two classes that it didn't offer).

They were from an accredited school and counted toward my degree just like all my other classes.

I realize that's not the same as being on a degree program via correspondence, but thought it might offer some insight.

As are as I can tell, as long as it's from a reputable school (and more of them are offering "distance" programs all the time) it won't look any different on your wall than if you'd lived on campus.

I have taken a diploma program online at my local community college and it is exactly the same credentials as if I had taken it in-class. Online is just much more convenient and no commuting.

In the process now. My boss has promised me a brighter future when I finish. I love the correspondence which happens to be on line.
