Most women it seams these days just don't get it. Most families it takes two incomes to support their family, but the women make it rough on the man. Do you'all not realise that most men aren't just about money, but have integrety about accomplishing something bigger than themselves? Sure it would be nice if all men were succesful and rich, but then nothing would get done. Who would build anything? Who would fight the wars? Who would make this country what it is and how it got that way? It wasn't from every man in America reaching their hand in the cookie jar and trying to see how much he could get, with money, women, material things, etc.. I just saw on CNN that the chinese reporter critisized men for not doing a good job, and maybe help out around the house a little and maybe their wives wouldn't cheat on them. Get real! Women don't see what all men do, the nobelest of deeds come from the hands of the unknown.

Are you kidding? Let me ask you something why do women have to do everything? I have been financially supporting myself and my kids for 7 years. I can not get my man to lift a tool. But I myself have put together every piece of furniture solo. While he stands there looking dumb. My dad was man enough to work 3 jobs at 19 yrs old and could fix anything. Now i have two guys that would rather see me get a second job then to support their own kids. I cook, clean, work, raise the kids..so it is a huge insult to read some dumb ish like this. Why don't men open doors for us anymore or any of that gentlemanly type stuff???

Be careful not to stereotype American women just because you see a TV show. Not all American women are that way... yes men and women both like to have nice things and in America these days it takes two incomes to provide that. Women are hell bent on trying to prove that we can do everything a man can do... and that is not a bad thing. And most men take for granted that a women who works just as hard as they do still comes home and cleans, cooks, takes care of the kids, laundry. So it works both way - we may not be as supportive to our men but men do not appreciate as they should .

This is essentially a prejudice. It is present in most parts of the world - so why single out America? Probably the women there are more loud in their expression. Other women too, think similarly, but have different ways (not obvious to an outsider) to establish there own. The end-result is the same. But to be fair to women, not all women are alike, and there are far too many wicked men, too, all over the world, and extremely innocent women, who suffer stoically, at the hands of men.

dont' agree sorry.... many women are absolutely not like that... I don't believe it's most women but the few to moderate number of women who may not be supportive to their men. Women could sit back and go on an on about how men only want to have their cake and eat it too in terms of the number of infedel male partners there are and I'm not saying there aren't women who cheat too. So how come so many american men are unfaithful in their partnerships and then still expect their wives to not only stay put, cook and clean and then some. You see we could all point fingers about something.

Because the men that I've been around still live in the 50's but don't do a very good job with the breadwinning as it is.
It's all about communication. Helping out around the house definitely shows that you're a team.

I'm glad you ask this because I want to know too. I agree with you to some extent. Not all women are that way but alot are. "Gold diggers" are everywhere and it's harder and harder to find people in general that do what it takes for a successful marriage. I'd like to see lawmakers punish people that are unfaithful to their marriage partners, maybe a five year prison term with time off for good behavior. That way they would appreciate what they have with their marriage partner instead of being greedy and wanting more. I think this would make marriage more of a lifelong thing like it's supposed to be instead of what I call "paper dating".

I don't believe this to be a sexist issue. The same can be said of women. Let's face there is a lot of good being done by both men and women, many of whom do not receive credit.

I think men and women can both have unrealistic expectations of the other, and take the other for granted.
We should all do better. I'd rather have my sister date a good man with not much money, than a jerk with more.
And sometimes it's just the jerks who have money.
Good luck.

i understand somewhat of what your talking about.
you act like women are all the same.
and as far as you thinking men take on all the hard parts of life like fighting wars, building whatever
where have you been??
women do the same
i see a lot of what a men can do for a woman
but its also the other way around
in my family-women have always been the backbone of things

Because men are in the majority and power position on nearly every social and economic facet. For example, Women get paid less, promoted less, etc for working the exact same job.
