I love my Mooncup!
I used to use commercial tampons and commercial pads, the most absorbent, and I still had to constantly change them due to very heavy flow, I also used to get constant yeast and bacterial infections due to the chemicals within them as well as the general health problems from tampons – menstrual cups have no health risks associated, unlike commercial tampons that are the most harmful out of over 20 different menstrual options. Seriously though, it saved me a whole hell of a lot of money and hassle, as well as prevented me from constant infections – I have now been using my Mooncup for 3 years, never had a single infection in that time.
Discovering menstrual cups is also what lead me into menstrual activism because I started wondering what else I did not know about menstruation, turns out there are a hell of a lot of issues, history and politics involved, thus why menstrual cups are so popular now as more people are becoming aware of their bodies and in turn how options like tampons can effect their bodies. Its then through menstrual activism that I went into studying gynaecology as well as getting involved in environmentalism in my spare time.
It is a lot safer, greener, more convenient, reduces cramping, cheaper, body-positive, ethical companies, and so on and so on, plus you have a money back guarantee so even if they do not work for you then you can always get your money back – I know a few thousand women who have menstrual cups, I have yet to meet anyone who has sent their menstrual cup back!

I have a Keeper cup. It is the same shape as a mooncup, only made from natural gum rubber, while the mooncup is made from medical grade silicone.
I found it works very well for me. It is so comfortable I have almost forgotten I was on my period! Try that with a tampon!
I like the reduced risk of TSS, the environmental benefit, and the cost savings! I have extremely heavy flow the first 2 days. With tampons I was leaking through a super plus after maybe 3 hours. I do still have a tiny bit of leakage with the cup, but it's so much less than with tampons that I am satisfied with how well it performs. Check out the menstrual cups yahoogroup for more info and experiences with cups.

Is it a cup that you can wear during your period instead of tampons?
If so, I've tried it. It was ok. I never had any accidents with it. I'm one of those paranoid people, so I still wore a pad as protection just in case. It is a little awkward at times and can get messy when you remove it. But, it's worth a try if you're interested in it.

I have used Instead, which is a disposable menstrual cup. I would like to buy a reuseable one sometime I think. The Instead cups are pretty comfortable.
