Anyone heard whether there is a vaccine for humans to prevent West Nile disease? Or when one might be available? (D*mn mosquitoes!!)

In fact i did hear about a vaccine for the West Nile virus that was created for humans.

I'm not really sure if there is a vaccine for West Nile Virus...but, usually people live through it, unless they have some sort of serious reaction to it. Then it may kill them. Other than that, they're usually fine...I think.

No vaccine for the disease is available yet. The WHO lists a high survival rate for human infections so you should be ok...unless you happen to be a bird.

I dont think that there is a vaccine for humans yet, but i know there is one for horses. If contracted by a horse it is almost always fatal.
