Deaf. At least I could learn signing and be able to communicate with others who I could see.

Being blind and deaf would be better, but I don't think you're going to like my reason, although it reveals something about me that is hard for me to deal with. One of the first things people do is try to figure out what gender the person they're with is. I've heard that in schools for the blind and deaf, touching is a way that people figure out who they're with. I'm not as tactile with people I'm close to as I'd like to be. I don't tend to hug friends or family and I don't know why. Maybe it's because of something that happened in my childhood. I think I'd rather be much more friendly with people in that way than I am now. I mean, after all, I'm typing on a plastic computer keyboard! I think touching and its many forms is a way of saying many words to someone--in a kiss, in a hug, in a handshake. I'm just kinda formal. My loss.

blind, why? because if your blind you can't see anything more but you can hear much things, if you are deaf, the only thing you can hear is silence, like you're always alone, silence, you can compare it when you are under water in a swimming pool and you look to the surface, everything is quiet, and it's seems like you're whole alone, I talked once with somebody who was blind for 2 hours and then you doubt if you want to be blind or deaf, most of the people say blind, but deaf is also bad

Deaf. My best friend is deaf so I already know sign language and all that so it wouldn't be too bad. Plus being deaf you can still walk around and all that with ease. Being blind would just plain SUCK.

Though I wouldn't want to be either, I think I'd say deaf. I'm an artist and feel like I would be lost without my ability to experience the beauty in everyday life (i know, that's pretty corny).
I do like talking to people and working with people, though I found part of being attentive to someone is just a matter of being with them. So, in that sense I guess I wouldn't need to hear either.

Deaf. Without hearing you can still comfortably get around. But being blind means you have to rely on a known landscape outside your home to negotiate any travel.
