6) 24
-This says six divided by twenty-four. To solve it you see how many times six goes into twenty-four. 6+6+6+6=24 Six goes into 24 four times. 6 X 4=24 It's kinda like reverse multiplying. Don't be afraid to ask a teacher at school for help. It's not stupid at all that you don't know. Not asking for help might be a little.

If you know how to multiply, then you can also divide. Division is the opposite of multiplication. 2 times 3 is 6, and 6 divided by 2 is 3 or 6 divided by 3 is 2. You will have it in no time.

get help!
take a bunch of rock, or buttons, or tooth picks....
start with 20. divide into 2 piles. there ya go. you just divided.
now divide them in to 3 piles. Even piles... you will have a remainder.
I am thinking that if you can't divide you can't multiple either.
Go get a work book that shows you the fundamentals. It will be a grade 2-3 book. Can you read? If you can read you should be able to do the book.
Don't try to learn Dividing until you learn multiplying.

It helped me to realize that division is the reverse of multiplication. You are figuring out how many times something goes into something else.
Do try visual clues - like the measuring cups (try even filling it with water and putting them into a bowl)
Or do basic problems with pennies.
But, a lot of the time it comes down to practice!
Good luck!!!

Just think of it as undoing mutiplication. ? times a certain numbers makes a certain number. Example. ? times 2 equals 4.
What times 2 makes 4. Of course 2. You simply need to know your multiplication facts to divide. Just backswards.

Try using measuring cups. You know, 1/4, 1/3, 1/2, 3/4. It is a visual aid that i used for my kids and they finally got it. Division is hard, but don't get discouraged. YOU CAN DO IT!
Good luck!
