I cant stop putting my hair up because it needs to be up for soccer practice (every day), but the hairband is breaking the heck out of my hair! Any ideas?

What type are you using? They have hair ties that specifically say they do not cause breakage. When you take them out, do not pull them out, carefully unwind it from your ponytail. That helps, too.

What is causing the breakage is probably your hair getting caught in it when you take it out.

Try to get the all cloth kind.

If you are using a pony tail holder - get the ones without the metal part.

Also, if you are putting it into a pony tail, try and make it snug enough that it doesn't fall out, but as loose as you can. I used to triple over the big bands, but I have found the smaller ones work well doubled for me. Not making it too tight should help.

And it might help to use conditioner every day.

Good luck!

I would try using a scrunchy maybe? Or a little bit looser hair band.

Also you could try putting the hair in a different spot (ie. pull it up a little higher or down a little lower. this way the band isn't always in the same spot.

Hope I could help,

DO NOT USE RUBBER BANDS. USE THE HAIR TIES THAT DO NOT HAVE THE METAL CLAPS ON THEM. DO A CHOLESTEROL TREATMENT. YOU CAN THE THE CHOLESTEROL AT SALLY BEAUTY SUPPLY STORE.
