I took my 7 year old daughter to see it and she loved it.

It's not scary in the sense that the movie doesn't have any jumpy parts that make you jump. There are characters in the movie that have some pretty weird faces that have the potential of being scary. Other than that, there isn't much to be afraid of.

I've seen it and no it isn't scary at all. There are just some ugly pirates who are transformed in sea monsters but I think it is not so scary.
Children today are used to seeing worst things than that.
Enjoy the movie!

The only thing to worry about would be the Kracken. It's this big squid that attacks the ships. That might be scary, so you may want to cover her eyes for those parts if she gets scared easily. But if she really wants to see it, somehow the fear just disappears!

I thought it was a little bit scary. It is probably okay for a 7 y/o though.

The whole thing is stupendously noisy, senseless, violent and monster-ridden from start to finish, my 10 and 12 year olds said they enjoyed it, but I think that was because they don't want to give me any leverage against future films. I would have said turning 7 was far too young, in the UK it's recommended for 12+ viewing. Why doesn't Disney make more like Mary Poppins nowadays?

It is totally fine for a 7 year old. The "scary" parts aren't that bad.

Scary? No, it's not scary, you can take your daughter safely if she didn't have a problem with the 1st one. That said, I'll warn you the ending is VERY sudden and leaves you kinda enraged and craving for more...

We saw it at a drive in, so my nearly 7 yr old fell asleep. He watched half of it, and liked it.
I don't see it any scarier then the first one:)
God Bless

I would not take a 7 year old. This is far scarier than the first one.
EDITED TO ADD:
Sigh.......and people wonder why kids today are more violent? Maybe it's becase we let them watch too much violent TV/movies/video games!
