Just asking because my sister has two children with annoying high voices with ear piercing screams. Don't get me wrong, I love my niece and nephew. But those screams.... I just don't remember screaming as a child, and my mother says that none of her children (except the youngest most spoiled one)screamed.Your thoughts please.

People are afraid to discipline and I don't mean beating on them b4 someone starts up about that. I mean the no means no and the "don't you do that again, I don't want to have to talk to you again" Too much coddling and letting them have their way. Not taking time with them and letting television and gameboy's and pc's babysit them. Simply training and teaching them what is proper and improper behavior

I was never allowed to scream, outside with friends totally different, and I never allowed my older ones to screams, I just had a baby a year and a hlf ago, and he does, I don't know where he gets it from, he's not spoiled, quiet most of the time, he has this thing about being confined and now that I have a car, we have a car seat..so when you hear a sonic boom coming from the pacific nw, he's being put in his car seat..

Yes, OMG! Everywhere I go screaming obnoxious babies/kids. That's why I like to stay home most of the time. It really ruins the outing experience. My kids were so quiet no one ever knew they were with me in public. We went to restaurants and they would sit there quiet with a toy or talk to each other until the food came and they it was on with the grubdown. I know I never did that to my parents. If I did, I wouldn't be alive to write this answer to your question.

kids go through stages when they feel strong like kicking when their legs feel strong, screaming when they hear their own voices and get a reaction, etc. kids have always done this. it depends on the reaction for them to continue in an annoying way . try teaching them little kids songs and try to direct their strength into something less annoying. Teach them--this is something that is not done today .teach them how to use their bodies as they develope.this is what parenting is all about.

I see alot of kids screaming for attention and alot screaming because they are just happy. I can't really tell if there are more "angry screamers" these days, but if there are I can guess why...

Kids are screamers because parents have had all rights taken away. TIME out is joke. A swift spank on the butt is needed for most children and is NOT ABUSE!

Give parents their rights back!

mine isn't, bc i didn't put up with that crap when she was little, so she knows better. but man there are a lot of whiny screamy brats out there whos parents would rather shove some candy in there hand than tell the kid if they make another peep, they won't come back to the store...ever (and actually enforce it).
