Like socks, white shirts,bra's, hair pins. Just wanting to know if it is easier to buy it there. Or should I start getting my supplies now.

you will have much free time at Coast Guard boot camp,
and may not find what you need in your size.
so do the right, Should I bring items they list.

Buy it there they are very picky at boot camp your civies will be put into storage. You'll be outfitted with purely military gear in the sizes they want you to have as in soap, toothpaste, mouthwash razors. They will give you all of your clothes not sure on bra's but probably those too. You can bring stuff but it will probably end up in storage.

It's easier to buy them now. You will not have much freedom to shop once you get there. Best of luck to you.

Get them now - you'll be showing them you take initiative right off the bat. But - get exactly what they tell you to, or you'll end up throwing them out.

If they said bring'm, then bring'm. Won't they issue the clothing? We had Coasties in my Navy boot.

everything that you need will be issued to you. my recruiter said to bring a comb with me even though they shave your head bald. and no one notices your initiative in the beginning phases,
