I think it's more (b) and (c) of your choices. (A) really only applies when parents put pressure on kids to "grow up already!", when the parents themselves _don't know_ that this is the very thing kids actually want to do. I think (B) happens for kids and adults alike just because there has been a rather pronounced decline in _quality_ of cartoon, particularly from one Cartoon Network. Really, even a kid knows when things don't make any sense, or when the voices are bad, or when the cartoon is so ugly it's _hard to watch_. They may put up with way more crap than us adults do but they can spot it. As for (C)? I also think the passive nature of television has something to do with it. With TV you actually have to sit down and pay attention, and now more than ever, kids don't want to do that without an _instant_ reward of some sort. So instead of being couch potatoes, they become D-pad potatoes (playing video games) or mouse potatoes or smartphone potatoes (being online). In general though I really think it's the quality of show: even a cartoon can be good, or not. And well, a lot of people would rather just be cheap and pander. Or just draw stick figures. Or use stiff plastic CGI. Or use color palettes that look like used kitty litter. Or use voice acting inspired by nails on a chalkboard. At any rate it's about people being cheap and/or hating anything Japanese anime (mainly at Cartoon Network--yeah, Toonami's back, but only in the post-midnight infomercial slots). Being cheap ruins a cartoon before it can start, basically. It doesn't even give it a _chance_ to be killed later by Your Typical Executive Meddling.

F*ck YEAH!

I'm 35, and I WISH I could tell my boss to stick it and walk out on him... and them go home, play Xbox, drink beer, smoke up, and shoot more p*rn clips for my website!

I'll be if I was a female I could actually make a living off of internet p*rn, but alas, it's not the case!

I would deffinatly watch more TV if I didn't work!

Cheers
