A true Christian uses kindness and understanding. Tries to sit
down and reason with people, without criticizing different views.
And teaches what Christ taught, which was knowledge and
personal spiritual experience. Not the fearful, watered-down stuff
we get today.

The definition of "Christian" is one who follows Christ. So a true Christian would obey his commandments, follow in his footsteps, and teach like he did. For example, he commissioned his followers to go out and preach and make disciples (Matt. 28:19,20). He also said that his true followers would have love among themselves, no matter what part of the world they are from. (John 13:34,35) They would not kill eachother in wars while each asking God for his blessing.

Only God can tell you who is a "true Christian."

There are people who know the laws of their faith and even the Bible backwards forwards and upside down. But do not follow any of it. Or follow it only so other people will admire them.

Then there are people who have never even heard of Christianity who follow a very Christian life.

Jesus himself told the religious leaders of his day that sinners and prostitutes would get to heaven before them.

A christian is a "footstep follower" of Jesus. So a true christian would imitate him. While on earth Jesus preached to people about God's Kingdom.....who does that? Also he showed humility (in washing his disciples feet) and, love, peace , joy, long-suffering...basically the fruitage of the spirit. But a true christian doesn't fake it, they live it. They apply Jesus teaching in their everyday life.

A true Christian values his fellow man over going to church or even prayer. To give of yourself to others is the ultimate goal of a true Christian.

I think it all depends on how you feel spiritually and how you treat others. You do not need to attend services to be Christian you just need to do what is best and trust your heart to tell you the Christian thing to do

Prove to me that actual Christians exist, and I will formulate an opinion on what distinguishes them. Frankly, I have only ever witnessed or met "poseur-Christians", as none of them are actually Christ-like. Have a nice night.

A true saved Christian is someone who repents of their sins and asks forgiveness for them and also tries to live more like Christ.

Most Christians would say the fruit of the Spirit, but the fruit can be faked.
I would say answered prayer. Does the Lord answer your prayers?
