Every time I try to shut down my laptop, it hangs on "jusched.exe" (Java update scheduler). How to fix?

I'm running an IBM Laptop X31 with Windows XP SP2. I can't find a Java support community where I can post this question, Either, I'd like to fix the problem or uninstall the program "jusched.exe" unless that would be deemed unadvisable.

Start
Run
Type in msconfig
Click on the startup tab of the window that opens
You will see a list of all the programs that are being loaded onto your PC at startup
If the jushed is amoung them, uncheck the box and it will not load in the future
If it causes problems, you can always rechecl the box

While there, you may want to look down the list and see what other items you can uncheck (I usually recommend all of them). The fewer items loaded, the faster your PC boots and runs

update the java first of all before shut down.
