I've noticed many college aged Jewish girls wear glasses (especially those black ones that are not very flattering).
Why don't they get contacts, is this against their religion? I'm serious and I like Jewish girls and boys I not racist.

I don't use contacts because they' much more expensive over the long haul. Plus I don't like sticking things in my eyes.

Hey, I wear black glasses and I'm not Jewish. And the thing is...ugliness stops guys from making a pass at you, not glasses.

actually, its a theory that Jewish boys and girls need glasses more often then non-Jews because we start the boys learning Torah at the age of 2 or 3, which means that they are straining their eyes very young, and girls start learning Torah at age 5, daily.
Its just a theory, but I think it makes sense.

I don't wear glasses. Perhaps your sense of fashion is different from theirs. And they're possibly not looking to turn "you" on to them, so why would they care as long as they could see. Isn't college all about giving yourself an education anyway, not a fashion show?

Orthodox Jews have higher tendencies towards eye disorders and sunlight sensitivities.
I don't believe contacts are forbidden.
