Last I checked, there were Roman Catholic churches in every city, and... dig this... they were exempt from taxes!
The Roman Empire has already conquered. No need for further attacks.

There is no Roman Empire, the Roman empire or what was left of it finally collapsed in roughly 400+ AD...so I think we are safe. ;-)

They can't. Assuming they have a time machine, they still can only attack the US after 1776-- it didn't exist before then. Our navy would wipe them out anyway, even if they could cross the Atlantic.
