Imagine if you wake up somewhere you have never see, would you go like "OK, I am here" and never try to find out why you did wind up there in first place. Wouldn't that be abnormal. You'd try to find out what is going on here, wouldn't you.
But if you look at your life now, you go to work/school & do things everyday without a sense of direction. You never think where all this is going to take you. We all know we have our end, our life is the most important thing we have, but we do not even think about it.

i agree.. the gift of Life is awesome, amazing..and what we can do with it while we are on this earth!!! that gift, that chance, is a blessing in itself. now we have to do what we can to make it as Happy, Positive, Active, Wonderful, Satisfying as possible!! :) it opens up so much more opportunity when ur goals are to make yourself better, always seeking what is Good, Right, Healthy and Positive. that is my mantra right now..... when u seek Positive and Healthy goals, people, situations, most likely u will be going towards a Good Path. and as u do that, u will become stronger in a Positive way; therefore, anything bad or negative that comes along (hey, it is life on this earth!), we will be strong enough to Handle it, instead of cursing life and hating ourselves. ther'es no point to that; life goes on, time flies by...we have that chance to use the time! even if it takes forever, even if the outcomes are different than what we originally Thought... the awesome thing is we Don't know what will happen in our future..which is why seeking what is Positive will lead u to great things. good luck to all of us... no need to wallow in despair when there are so many fun and good and exciting and *healthy* things that will teach us and help us to be better~~~!

First of all you say that "we all know we have our end, our life is the most important thing"...Yes, our life is the most important thing because it determines "our end". Our Heavenly Father has given us the plan of salvation. What we do here on earth does matter. That is why we have free agency/free will...to make our own choices.

I tell my son "question everything"! He has been told of my belief in Heavenly Father since before he was born. Yet, I want him to make his own choices, his own decisions, because it is his life. In our church we have what is known as the age of accountability. It means that at a certain age you are responsible for making your own decisions. You can not be baptized in our church unless it is what you want. Just because I wanted him to be baptized was not good enough. He had to listen to the missionaries, go to church, visit with the Bishop and make up his own mind.

I think our family has a very strong sense of direction. We are far from perfect but I know we are heading in the right direction with a strong sense of purpose.

I have also always told my son to think before he acts because sometimes a mistake we make can not be taken back or corrected...such as failing to look both ways before crossing the street could lead to sudden death.

Question everything...find out why we are here? (to obtain the gift of free agency)...what is our purpose? (to create our plan of salvation) ...is their a guide that can help us through this life? (the Holy Bible, a guide book and the Holy Spirit, an internal guide)...who created the universe? (God, our Eternal Father)...I asked my son once what he thought made more sense...that an atom, a molecule, exploded and all of creation was formed without any engineer, anyone in charge?...or, that a Supreme Engineer designed and created the universe? My son said..."Mama, if an atom blew up then there would be nothing at all...of course there's a Master Engineer. Duh...his name is God!"

but see the thing about it is is that everyone is wrapped up in the world and to caught up to realize what our purpose as humans really is. and that is to spread the word of god. were here to follow him get to know him and help everyone else learn what we know about him. our purpose is to help save people so when God comes to earth they will be prepared to follow himand go with him.and if not then when the tribulation occurs u will be left behind. until it is over.and thats is ur second chance to do what is needed to be done. and that is our purpose.

Not sure if you have been reading any questions but the most popular questions are who are we, where did we come from, what is the purpose of life. I know where I came from, where i'm going and what my purpose is.

Speak for yourself! Who says we're all walking around with no purpose or awareness!

Stop overanalyzing and go out and DO something instead of complaining and assuming everyone is like YOU!

That's what strikes me as being so ludicrous about atheism. They think that state of directionless meaningless is something desirable. And they make fun of those who actively search for a purpose to it all.

Go figure.

You could if you wanted to. Don't just complain in here get out there and do something about it if it bothers you that much.
