149.99 *(times) .85 (for the 15% off) * 1.0825 for the sales tax.
The result is $138.01.

well i think the 15% off is from the OG price, and the 8.25% tax is off the amount u are paying.

therefore, on a calculator u would put:

149.99 x 15 % = 22.4985

that means you are getting about $22 off. if u want to know how much u are paying u have to do

149.99 - 22.4985= $127.4915

(btw...u can do a shortcut and do 149.99 x 85 % = 127.4915.... 85% is how much u are Paying; 15% is how much u are getting Off)

now, u want to find out how much sales tax is:

127.4915 x 8.25% = $10.518

so your total bill, including tax = 127.4915 + 10.518 = $138.01

:)

The item to the mall is 15% off.
The original price of item is 149.99 plus 8.25% tax.

To compute...

Price is 149.99 less 15% or
149.99 * 0.85
Then it will give you 127.4915
Rounded-off to the nearest hundredths is 127.49

Discounted price of 127.49 with 8.25% sales tax or
127.49 * 0.0825 will give you 10.517925.
Rounded-off to the nearest hundredths is 10.52

127.49 + 10.52 is 138.01

Find the sales price before adding the tax.
Multiply the sale price 149.99 times point eight five (0.85) to get the discounted price. Then mutiply the result by 1.0825 to get the sale price including tax.

Make it $150. 15% off is 10% is 15 5% is 7.50
15% is 22.50
150 - 22.50 = 122.50 x 1.0825 = $132.61 total
