Do I agree with every thing they say? No. Do I think they are white trash, country fools. No. Lest you people forget, ALL of the founding fathers of this country where Christians. Seems to me they did a pretty good job.

I agree - I try to respect the beliefs of others, although I will challenge them. Seems to be a lot of hatred out there.

The hell the founding fathers were all Christian! Go read some quotes from Jefferson, Paine... Do a little searching before you make assumptions. Now, admittedly, I haven't yet run across an -atheist-...

Also, your argument has faulty logic. Even if the founding fathers -had- all been Christians and even if they -had- done a good job, it does not follow that all Christians necessarily to a good job.

My personal view is that religious people -as a whole- do a bad job. Admittedly, there are some amazing people in the mix: Gandhi, the Dalai Lama, probably some Abrahamics as well (though I have intense hatred for all the Western religions, so I can't think of any).

Why do I have hatred for Judaism, Christianity, and Islam? I dislike the morality they propound. Any moral principle that cannot be justified in naturalistic terms has no right ts be considered moral. Of course, plenty of people have cruddy moralities—but these lack the political clout the Abrahamic faiths have.

I hate Christianity because it is evil. I hate most Christians because they practice it.

I also hate Christianity because it goes so contrary to reality. Anyone who simultaneously manages to live in the real world and in a fantasy world of divine creature strikes me as abolutely terrifying. I cannot imagine being that unreasonable and capable of holding contrary ideas in my head at once.

I disagree completely with Brenda when she says that the athiest position is more defensible than that of a religious person.

I am myself agnostic, and understand that the only conclusion I can possibly reach as to the existence of a deity is that drawing such conclusion is impossible without a personal revelation (of the kind that many religious people claim to have).

I'd also like to point out that the hatred shown by (a minority) of Christians towards non-believers, homosexuals etc. etc. is just as vehement and disgusting as the hatred shown by (a minority) of others towards Christians themselves. It's all just imature and sickening. One of the most endearing traits that marks a good Christian should be a respect for other religions and beliefs, and thankfully this is almost always exhibited.

The fact that people would use such a benign medium as this to vent their hatred against Christians proves the existence of Satan and the fact that Christianity is the only way to God. Think about it. An atheist has only one life on earth, seemingly not enough time to post on a website like this, let alone to try to make the harmless Christians here victims of their wrath. Keep going Satan, you're destroying your own cause.

Thank you. As a christian I was beginning to wonder if there was anyone out there that really cared. Until I started using this site I never really understood how much hatred there was in this world. I use this site to try and be a light to someone, to maybe uplift someone in some way. There are times when it is really hard, because I see so much trash on a site that really should be more geared towards enlightenment and helping one another. You have uplifted my spirits today. God Bless You.

Thank you. It's nice to know that you accept others for who they are and do not make judgments against entire groups of people based on the mistakes or knowledge of a few select individuals. I don't know any other agnostics, but I have a good friend who is an atheist. I am a Christian. She and I accept each other for who we are and not for our beliefs. I wish more people in this world could do that.

Beats me !!!!
My dad said he was an atheist , but a more pleasant man you couldn't wish to meet..My mum and I both belonged to different religions , and my dad didn't go to any church at all. ..But I tell you something., he often dropped me and my mum off at our different places of worship (since neither one of us drove a car at that time). When friends visited from my church he was pleasant and courteous to them all , he was hospitable , and offered them food, drink, or a ride home if the weather was bad..Just because he didnt attend any church didn't make him any less a human , with compassion and caring for others . You seem like one of these people . I dont know why some people on here like to rail on The Christians .maybe for shock value , or maybe they are mentally disturbed , maybe they are doing it for personal gratification . to be told by others that they are funny..or witty ..or whatever kind of popularity they are seeking.... Trouble is, at the end of the day , when the computors have shut down, and the crowds have gone away ...they still then have to deal with their soul and conscience , and these same crowds that are giving them praise for their outlandish behaviour , wont be behind them so much when the day comes when they have to face the one they insulted, the one who died for their sins, their Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ....At THAT day the jokes wont be so funny anymore, and they will have to look the one that loves them the most in the eye and tell HIM Why They mocked him.
Even Though you say you dont believe and are an agnostic.... I want to say thankyou for sticking up for those of us who believe in Christ ..I as a Christian appriciate what you have said today ....maybe underneath it all you are not so much of an agnostic as you say you are :-D :-) =]

Wow, I had no idea how many small and/or narrow mined people there were in this world. I am flabbergasted at the lack of respect for our fellow human beings, Christian or not. It's no wonder the world is in the mess it's in these days with all the genocide and wars.
I think I'll stick to my simple life with my dogs and cat. My pets love me for me, Christian or not.

Thank you for your kind words. As a Christian I am the receiver of a lot of criticism. I am neither mentally ill or stupid, but because I choose to believe in God there are those who think that I am.

Why do people show so much hatred to differing beliefs. I think it is fear. Plain and simple. That is my opinion. You asked.

I don't hate Christians. I hate what the bible thumpers believe. I hate their bigotry and hate. I guess we have something in common after all, hate. That is not good, I am going to have to work on letting that hate go. At the very least, I should tone it down to dislike and disrespect. A note to Brenda's world: I totally respect your right to be a nonbeliever but please don't insult my intelligence. I am no rocket scientist, but I am a person with a little smarts and I do believe there is a God.
