It's "lose"...loose is what you call pants that are too big in the waist.
When you get too angry, stop for a second and take a deep breath. Think about WHY you are angry (are you really justified, or is it a knee-jerk reaction to something?).
Treat others as you'd like to be treated. If you dislike people blowing up at your (for reason or no reason) then don't do it to them. Walk away until you've calmed down enough to address the issue calmly and rationally.

To avoid losing it, I instantly fall into practiced breathing exercises, and I tend to count mentally in slow rhythm.
However if that fails & I do lose my temper, I try to tamp it down if directed at another person and not myself. Then I try to get off alone by myself to reflect on what happened, both why I was angered & why I was unable to keep myself in check. Doing that usually points me toward issues that I really need to deal with.

Leave the situation. My husband makes me really, really mad sometimes and will continue to grate on me until I think I am going to explode. So I leave. Last time I couldn't think of anywhere to go so I ended up at Walgreens. Wow, fun, huh. Anyway, he realized he was being an ***, called me and apologized.
