Why does my Limewire slow everything down when it's running? How can I fix it?

Can't fix it. It has to take so much of memory to function properly. To increase the speed you will have to configure it to start the moment your system is turned on. That will ensure a little more speed.

You might need more memory. You also might try not running so many programs at the same time. Close the ones you don't really need while Limewire is going.

if your running limewire on a PC id suggest a different program, limewire will put hundreds of viruses on your PC, sometimes with just 1 download...it also takes up all your available memory while its running, theres no way around it...if you like limewire, id suggest investing in a MAC, less likely for viruses

buy more memory for your computer. thats the only thing that can help unless u shut it (limewire) off. its a program that uses alot of system resources. so to equal it out, you need to add more system resources (memory).
