I'm from Chicago now living in Tucson, AZ and I miss Portillo's Italaian beef with Hot giardinera and my favorite pizza from Balzano's and Augustino's Sub sandwiches the most But, I miss all of the food there. I have to have everything shipped to me from my family. I did learn how to come very close to duplicate the Italian beef sandwich but, it's just not the same. And no one here knows or has ever heard of hot giardinera. I used that stuff on everything!! It sucks !

I have Dunkin Donuts coffee in my area, 'GREAT'.
I would miss 'Kogel' hotdog with natural casings.
A home town favorite.

I miss the drive through coffee stands. I am from Washington State and now live in Florida. It's hard to find just the right cup of coffee. Starbucks just doesn't do it for me. Sorry Starbucks.

My Aunt Scollies special Ice cream something I miss but I have been able to make an ice cream almost as good! Almost don't quite cut it though! My sister can't tell the different betweeb what I make and what my Aunt makes or perhaps my sister just pretends she can't tell! There's A Dunkin Donuts place not too far from where I am! I could mail one
to you but it dry out by time you got it!
There's another thing I miss is Perogy Hut perogies. I have to make them myself and some reason they aren't as good! What I make is good but not as good as Perogy Hut. Most Perogy Huts have switched to Pizza and changed their name to Pizza Hut.. sure I like Pizza too but.. I like perogies better!

I am not from France but when I was there I had this breakfast toast which was more like a biscuit. It was plain but tasted so good with the local butter and specialty jams. I was so psyched to have breakfast each morning: strong coffee, those biscuit toasts and a fresh fruit. Yummy

Pickled bologna specifically Koegel's. People in Texas look at me like I'm crazy when I even ask. Then again, at last check...the only place this was produced was in Michigan.
Then again, I never had a stuffed jalapeno until I came to Texas either. Makes me wonder what other regional differences in food might be out there.
