why christians get so mad?

does it not say to turn your cheek,i ask questions that i know will upset people,just to see if their are any true christians who will give thoughtful answers,instead its mostly angry people,but if their so religius than why get so mad?...god is a peaceful god who will not and does not care what people say,are we not all his children,and does he not know what the heart realy thinks? seems theirs just a bunch of false prophetes on this yahoo site claiming to be something their not.

the truth is simply that the bible is contradictory. while it says turn the other cheek, it also says believers, and true christians should put nonbelievers to death. so then i ask christians, why are there not mass killings upon the streets daily. our history shows us the true path of religion. the crusades, the inquisition, the holocaust, amongst countless others, were done in the name of god. for those who think the holocaust was not, read his personal manuscripts and it tells of how he believes he was doing the work of god. so the truth is, religion is anger, it is violence, but bible readers, either skip these passages, their priests dont read them, or they have such a partisan put up in their minds, that they simply disregard some teachings of the bible. so i say let them get mad, if further proves my point.

I have seen many christians and many hypocrites on this site. You are correct in saying that God knows the heart. I answer a lot of questions on this site because it gives me a chance to maybe be a light to someone. The bible says to get angry but sin not. Many questions that I see upset me, some make me ashamed of the human race and then some make me want to reach and try to help someone. By answering this question I would hope to make you understand that not all people who say they are christian act the same way. I honestly try never to judge any of you, even the ones that say hurtful things. I ask God's blessings upon each person that that I encounter on this site everyday and I want nothing but the best for each of you, whether you are saint or sinner. Have a nice day.

Anyone who considers themself a true Christian would be slow to anger when confronted with such questions, but a Christian also would be willing to fight for the truth - preferrably with kind words that prove the truth and not anger. A true Christian would not ask questions to upset others either. Those who want to enter the kingdom of heaven must try to control their emotions. We are to live a life following the teachings of Jesus. We should treat others with love, compassion, and forgiveness. We are also supposed to share the Word of the Lord with others.

2. Yes Jesus said to shake off the dust from your feet and move on. But that didnt mean completely, more like wait for a while and then go back later. Remember christians are still human too and re react to things that non-believers say and do

for one, true christians are not religious. for 2, i agree very much so with the previous answer. we are human and we dont realize what we do. but to me that all depends on how serious ur walk with God is. because if your that close to God, you have the holy spirit deep inside you helping you live like christ. it helps you be more like him. how God originally wanted us humans to be. we are all his children. those of us who are saved and born again. you must accept christ before u can be considered one of his children. its your job for that privledge. thats all God asks us to do. is ask him into our hearts and then follow him and become as much like him as we can. for those being angry they may be tru christians but dont really know better i guess u could say. it takes time to learn the word of God.

Are you just realizing this? Religion is a joke. The people who claim to be religious are the same people who go out and do bad things because they can go to church and put a few dollars in the bowl and all will be forgiven. If someone is truly religious they realize that they don't have to go to church or do any of the silly sh*it that they are "supposed" to do. Being religious means living your life a certain way.

I agree with your outlook of God by the way.
I believe most Christians are good people (I am not Chrisitan, whatever), there are the bible thumpers who use fear and are angry if people don't believe in what they believe. It seems to me their God is a boogey man.
But, compared to Muslims, they are pussycats. Did you see how they acted because of a freaking cartoon!
If the bible thumpers god is the boogeyman, the Muslims god is Lucifer!

i think some of them get mad because being a Christian's not an easy feat to accomplish, seeing as how we are ALL human. our nature is to fight back when we feel we are being attacked right? it's kind of hard to think about WWJD when your brain clouds up and human nature takes over. but false prophets are everywhere... even yahoo.
