Against...it's a sinful lifestyle. However, it's no more sinful than a man and woman living together out of wedlock. Sin is sin...

Hate the sin, not the sinner...

Good question. I am confused about the whole thing. First off, I don't understand wanting to be with someone of the same sex. Second, I was taught as a child it was wrong, however, I have an aunt and two cousins, a male and female that are gay. Am I suppose to hate them? Forget them, be against them, of course not. So that throws all the Catholic Church stuff out the window. So I am confused.

The Bible teaches for us to be Christ like. Christ dealt with sin by loving the sinner so that they may come to repentence, but He was put to death for our sin.
A true Christian should never condemn another person for any reason. The Holy Spirit comes to convict us of wrong so that we can be reconciled to the Father through the shed blood of Jesus.
Homosexuality is no different than any other sin. Yes, many people have sadly made a crusade out of reforming homosexuals but that just isnt biblical.
I feel that the word teaches us to plant the seed of the love and mercy of God (that is what I responded to when I lived in the dark). Presenting hate in the name of Jesus is so wrong and no one will be restored to Christ by hate.
It was and is His precious love for each and every one of us, homosexual, hetersexual, bisexual, sinful and broken, that draws us to Him.

Romans 1:24-28 For this cause God gave them up unto vile ( or degrading or morally despicable ) affections: for even there women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: And likewise also the men , leaving the natural use of the women , burned in their lust one toward another: men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompense or their error which was meet. And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient.....please read on! I hope you know what my answer is... I'm against it, and confused.

it isnt right under the Word of God yes. it's a sin. no more then a lie, no less then murder. however, us as humans do not have the right to judge a person for who they are or what they believe. the only being with that right is christ himself. people will sin. were only human. but if you are walking with God and ask for forgiveness and make an effort to fix ur sins, u will be forgiven. but if u know ur doing wrong and continuesly do it... its not right, but God will always forgive those for there sins.
i have nothing against it and i cant judge it. as long as there is love do your thing. but good luck with your answers, people can be cruel.

I'm for any relationship as long as that relationship is built on mutual love, trust, and respect. Any relationship (homosexual or heterosexual) that is abusive, coercive, etc., I think most people stand against. The validity of a relationship should be evaluated on its content and virtue, not on what people do with their genitals.

Not a Christian... but I WAS Catholic for 17 years.

Even when I WAS a Catholic, I was always conflicted on that point. Well, not so much "conflicted" as "in total disagreement with the church and it's official stances".

I could never figure out the problem. Gays and lesbians participate in consensual, adult relalationships. They do everything anyone else might do except for their sex life, and when it comes to that, aren't we all supposed to mind our own business?

I support gay rights, gay marriage, spouse and partner employer benefits, tolerance, understanding and acceptance.

See SAHM2...

She totally stole my answer... =)

More Christians need to get out in the world and make this point.

Gays are loved just like anyone else. EVERYONE sins...

Beware the psuedo-Christians who spew hatred. They are not representative of Christ's love for sinners...

I don't judge gay couples because that is God's job. Anyone who does cast judgement God will deal with them on his time.
