...A couple of days later? Did they charge you? This happened to me once a few years ago...I asked the stylist to take me back to my natural color, which is dark blonde. Well, I ended up with auburn RED...not my color. They offered to redo it for me, but there wasn't much difference from before. They didn't charge me, but I did leave a tip so as not to be rude. Never went back to that salon again though.

I know I'm not a lady, but could I answer this anyway?

Just two weeks ago. That happened to me at the barber shop. I made that idiot cut it three times and it was STILL too short!

I had a salon streak my hair with highlights once several years ago. What a nightmare. I hated it. I made the woman do it over again and it got worse. In the end, I finally asked her to try to get me back to as close to my own natural color as possible and leave it ALL alone. I tipped her for her trouble and didn't go back to the salon. I have been with the same salon, same girl now for over nine years. I don't play around with colors/highlights anymore.
Decide what you want. You can have them test a small area that won't show before you commit to anything. Wear it for a day or two, flip it around to where you can see it and ask a few friends you trust. Then....make the big decision.
Best of luck.
You aren't alone.

Almost 5 yrs. ago, I went to a salon because my dark blonde hair was bleached lighter at the time, and I wanted to do it darker without having to grow it out and have the roots showing. They did it copper brown, but less than a week later, it all came out! I was furious when I left a message at the salon. They called back and said they could get me in 2 wks. later. They did it over free of charge, but I paid $115 the first time and left a $10 tip to boot. Second time they did it, I didn't even leave a tip. I just walked out on them. Needless to say, the color didn't stick the second time either. I then HAD to grow it out for several yrs., and I've never been back to them since.

You are what we call in the business world a "nice customer" you are the most dangerous of all because you are nice and don't cause a scene, you just don't come back. The simplest soloution to your problem would have been for your stylist to apply a color remover. Unfortunatly, most stylist just try slapping more color over the problem...rarely works. NO salon should charge for something they messed up. EVER!

that is sweet which you're waiting a month in between bleaches, many human beings attempt to do 3 or 4 bleaches in one day and their hair falls out. besides, it would be least confusing and terrific to flow to a salon, yet once you will no longer try this, bleach until your hair reaches a easy yellow and then tone it with Manic Panic Virgin Snow, make certain you SOAK your hair interior the stuff, wait 30-40 minutes, then wash it out and that's going to be alluring easy blonde, in basic terms approximately white. For maintenance, use Clairol Shimmer lighting fixtures fixtures shampoo, which you additionally can purchase at Sally's, yet to be secure, do no longer use it suited when you utilize the Manic Panic, wait until your next wash. do no longer in basic terms bleach it white, that is volatile on your hair, rather once you're doing it your self. good success!

I had mine coloured a really gorgeous dark red. Two weeks later, it was back to brown and I had even been using the expensive Bumble & Bumble red head shampoo they had convinced me to buy. I went back and they did it over again using a different brand of colour at no charge. I tipped them again. I've gone back numerous times because their great and it wasn't anyones fault that the colour didn't stick to my hair the first time around.

yes i had them redo it and not pay for it esp when they messed it up for the 3rd time on my hair. take if from a stylist it's your hair if you don't like it don't let them get away with it. You don't have to leave a tip if they jack your hair up to. If they redo it and still messed up then definitly don't pay them. most hair color things if that's what it is can be stripped out of hair easily. perms and frizz on the other hand can take a while first i would recommend lots of deep conditioning treatments. if its a style i would make them wash it out and start over. Have fun!!!

Yes. It happened to me yesterday. I wanted this: http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v480/hairfiles/BLONDE%20and%20BROWN/LONGER%20than%20shoulder/?action=view¤t=k2.jpg&refPage=&imgAnch=imgAnch9 but ended up with a scarey seventies trying to immitate a hairstyle from "The Sound of Music". I didn't tell the hairdresser because I don't think she could fix it, I am going to go someplace else to fix it, though there isn't much any one can do about the too thick bangs with weird tips. I cried for an hour. Oh, and she cut it too short. In one day my hair went from mid back length too shoulder length. WAAAHHHH!!!

I've had my hair cut twice and had to go back...the first time it was terrible - I wouldn't even go out in public until they fixed it. The second time wasn't as bad - just didn't get the style I wanted right. I didn't get charged either time, but I did tip both times since they did get it right the second try.
