i need to find form DD 214

I would contact the Seperation/Retirements section at your nearest installation. I know there is a website that you can request them from.

you can get a online form with instructions and send it in http://www.archives.gov/veterans/evetrecs/index.html This is a goverment site. Also you could go to the nearest military base see if they can get for you Its easy (call the personal office first)

If you are a member of an American Legion post or VFW post they have all the forms also to obtain your DD214, your service records, etc. Website is your best bet though.

you have 2 copies of DD214...the long and short copy...you should be able to acquire a short copy easily (call your nearest military installation personell office)...however the long copy is LITERALLY an act of congress. You have to request them through some Congressional committee

I would say try the places where most men and women sign up for that .If they have not been burned or lost .Check with your VA clubs how to get the best help .
