The East Indians seem to have a particular ability when it comes to mathmatics and computers. I have heard it said in the computer industry that the Indian mind is somewhat wired that way due to culture and ? That is probubly the reason so many come for computer related jobs. Simply put, they are better than the run of the mill rest of us at it. Also, they speak English for the most part as it is part of their education (higher). This makes it easier for them to assimilate and from what I can tell, they do a pretty good job of it for the most part.
The other reason is that they will work for cheaper. This is not such a good thing for the USA generally. Maybe good for the employer but not always the rest of us, as we have to endure yet more population. For every one wage earner that is productive to the betterment of the US economy, there are probubly another 3-6 people in the family that take up space, use resources and put sideways cultural pressure on USA. That is it culturally confuses the already mind boggling amounts of different cultures and cultural differences our American culture contains.
At least the East Indians seem to come legally and behave in an orderly fashion when here. Unlike some OTHER cultures we all are aware of.
It they come here legally and with the blessing of our immigration authorities, I'm all for them being here.
Illegals need to go back to where they came from. We don't have room for more criminality, unfairness or those that can't respect our culture and do things within the law.

They say little knowledge is dangerous and that seems to be the case here as well.
The US Tech Industry has had severe talent crunch for a while. US Senate pased a bill allowing up to 195000 foreign workers to com and fill positions. Believe me, there is no lack of opportunity or jobs in the sector and they are fairly well paying too. Plus the IT service industry costs were going through the roof. Technology outsourcing has always been there (remember the biggest IT deal of all times - 1996 GM outsourced all IT operations to EDS). But Indian companies like Infosys, Wipro, TCS started the concept of offshoring. However, India still has just 2% of the US outsourcing market.
As regards the manager you are talking about, I think you are basing your opinion solely on your friends perception. One bad Indian does not mean that the whole lot is bad. I work in the IT sector and I see a lot of Indians around me. And when we were hiring, we spoke to job hiring agencies and they did not have any people of American origin for the jobs! We had many Indians and very Canadians. The Indians were cooperative with the project demands and complied. We had a strong work ethic and language was not a barrier.
America has prided itself in being a land of opportunity and equal opportunity. There is no place for neo-Nazi philosophy here.

The country of India, all by itself, has some 1 billion residents, probably more by now, I read that like 4 years ago, and boy, do they ever like to have kids! LOL Remember that song 'its a small world after all'? It's a-gettin' smaller, where 100 years ago there were only just over a billion people walking the earth, forecasts show global population expansion going to 7 billion by 2010, probably 9 billion by 2020, because the rate of increase is expected to go UP, not down. A full third of the world's population lives in 2 countries, China and India, and we're on our way to start catching up with them here shortly as certain 'growth oriented' politicians get carried away with themselves(or by angry mobs, but that won't be until the Famine of 2025). So, start stocking those canned goods today! LOL

They were here ten yrs ago too. It's just that with all the threat of terrorism, americans kinda notice them more now. After 9/11 people looked around and started noticing India indians more.Actually anyone from the middle east pretty much was a suspect. It's not fair or right. It's not the majority of them that create these problems of terrorism, but they are all grouped alike.
I don't see why they should go back where they come from.Maybe some are born here. How can they go back?Maybe they are better workers than us americans. That could be why he's hiring them.

Why, they came from India, of course!
Sending them home would be FOOLISH as they are a significant component of the high-tech industry - providing tens of thousands of engineers, programmers, designers, etc.
The reason they are here is that America is not producing NEARLY ENOUGH American engineers, computer scientists, etc. And there are not sufficient opportunities for them in India (although that is starting to change).
Instead, our kids are much more likely to "study" the soft sciences like psychology (which they'll NEVER use), sociology, and other easy subjects.
For better or worse, we NEED high-tech workers from South Asia, China, and Eastern Europe. The alternative is a smaller, less dynamic economy with higher levels of unemployment.
This is certainly not a simple subject lending itself to easy answers, is it?

They come here LEGALLY, on a plane and yes, from India. They speak English, are very respectful and work hard. All that I know work in the I.T. field and are very intelligent. They don't ask for free hand outs and pretty much keep to themselves. They are an asset, not a parasite like the illegals!

I'm sure the Native Americans where thinking "Hey where did all these white people come from" back in the 1600's. Maybe they should have held a lottery to see which white people could be sent back and which can stay.
Unless your a native American you or your ancestors are immigrants. Remember that before you make statements about sending people back.

there is memories from interior of sight American/American Indian elders that say we've continually been right here. there is artifacts that have been contemporary in usa that have been dated to have been right here earlier the ice age, which i could say backs those memories from interior of sight American/American Indian elders. Now that ice bridge theory i could say some could have got here upon yet no longer all.

I personally like the Indian people! They have an aura of wisdom, spirituality, and sense of community which our western society seems to be lacking! Perhaps we can learn from them!
