Bubble tea is a tea beverage of recent East Asian origin. It derives its name from the fact that it is shaken before serving, producing a frothy, or bubbly texture. Bubble tea generally also contains chewy tapioca balls, or "pearls," and the beverage is consumed with the use of a wide straw.
Bubble tea is generally split into two types: fruit-flavored teas, and milk teas. Milk teas may use dairy or non-dairy creamers. Originating in Taiwan, bubble tea is especially popular in many Asian regions such as mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau, South Korea, Malaysia, the Philippines, and Singapore. The drink is also popular in Europe, Canada, and the United States.

I think it's that drink that has bubbles or also called pearls...made of tapioca. Tastes like hard jello with no flavor. You drink the tapioca bubbles through a large straw. It's pretty good. Kinda fills you up. They are very common in california. Haven't seen any in ohio.

Bubble tea (a.k.a. Boba) is a tea ususally made with milk [though it is optional] and then tapioca pearls are added. They are served with large straws so that you can get the pearls.
