We are leaving the Mainland and going to Okinawa, I want to get a head start on the visa and just transfer the paperwork to our new location if thats possible. WE are leaving in about a month and a half and also how long on average would the whole process take. Thanks

Yes, you can transfer a case from one consular section to another, but it can take a long time, like a month or more, depending on where it is. Alternatively, you can leave it where it is, and go back for the interview when everything is ready.

It would take a whole lot longer to process your paper.
