Depends on where you live...$9.99 to $25. are prices I have seen in the US. But, don't forget you need a cage & lots of toys, & food & stuff too...that is what makes birds expensive. But, sometimes at bigger pet shops, they may have a set up for budgies, buy a cage & get a free bird or something like that.

Well, the bird itself usually costs about $15-25.
Cages go for $15 and up.
A small package of feed gos for $2-7
cuttlebone is $1
and there are all kinds of toys and treats for various prices, from $1 and up

I've seen them as little as $10 and as much as $23 or so. Just depends where you get them

In Malta they are very cheep! only about Lm1.50. I have 2 and they are so cute

keeping any sort of bird in a cage is cruel. please dont contribute to this cruelty. birds were made to fly, its their need, please dont deprive them of it.
and if you have to get one, get a rescue one if there are any cos thats the only sort of bird that will be grateful.
