You're right, look how backwards this country has become. It's okay to be perverted and evil in movies even on tv, anything that is against God seems to have become alright with the world. But talk about God and we just might offend some one, and God forbid we wouldn't not want to do that...

My understanding is that it is because it has overt Christian context. Should people be told it has overt religious content - probably. Should ALL religious content be treated that way - probably - to include those movies that promote evolution as well those that promote creationism. A PG rating is awfully stiff for this particular movie, though.
As for the guy who talked of the Passion of the Christ - didn't it get an R rating?? Yes and it deserved an R rating. All I ever ask is that if a movie, TV show, music or game depicts realistic violence, any kind of sexual content or cussing, it receive a rating so I know when I look at it whether or not I want my kids to see it.

Let me ask you the question this way. Same movie just with muslim faith. Ok that doesn't do it for you what about wiccan. Does your view change. PG does'nt mean your kids can't get in to it, It just suggests -that some material may not be suitable for children- I would not allow my kid to see a muslim or wiccan "through our faith we can do it" movie. Would you? So I do agree with the rating. God Bless

Yeah, what you need to know is that the rating board is NOT a government regulated agency. They're in fact a private company, that are very prone to accepting bribes.

just my two cents.

Well, that's ridiculous, but you're talking about the same Christians who will seek to censor violence but consider "The Passion of the Christ" to be the greatest movie ever made.
