Look your basic problem is that you become nervous when you speak in the public & you develop a fear. Believe me that used to happen to me too.. the best way to calm yourself is to start talking to yourself in front of a mirror or in front of a photo of a large group of people.. That way you get used to a lot of eyes staring at you. As for your native tone don't worry about it. You should be confident in what you say and enunciate properly. & you should be proud of your tone. Not every person can talk that way. Maybe after you become used to talking properly the accent will develop automatically. For me, my tone changes automatically when i talk to foreigners & our own people. I don't even realise that i have changed my tone.. This came only after a lot of practising in front of the mirror..
As for your friends true friends encourage you to speak while correcting your mistakes.. Not make fun of you.. So just imagine when one of them starts making fun of you a jackass is braying & it will take care of its self..
So best of luck & dont get discouraged no matter what anybody says.

Dont be nervous. I'm sure you already know that English is the hardest language to learn. Be patient and keep working at it. You can buy help aids at any Barnes and Noble store. But, honestly, dont let people worry you about it. I think it's very commendable that you've put as much effort as you have into learning the language. Your friends aren't trying to make fun of you as much as you think they are. They just find it interesting and don't know how to express it properly. How many of them could speak your language?

You should have conviction and courage to stand up for what you are and not what your friends think about you. make a reassessment of your friends if they still continue to laugh. Your accent (native tone) is your biggest asset. dont lose it be proud of it. Only brush up on your grammer (good grammer books) and try thinking in english. It will improve automatically

The only way to become confident when speaking English is to keep practicing. Take out some English books from the library and read them out aloud, this will help with your pronounciation. Keep practicing, it will get better with time. :-)

The best way to gain confidence in yourself is to practice speaking to others ie family memebers etc who will not judge you or make fun of you for having an accent. Practice, practice, practice. Good luck to you!!!
