Got a Wal-mart super center near you? Their fried chicken is to die for, and it is cheap. Eight pieces in a bag for $3 and change. And you have the rest of the deli counter and the store to find something to go with it. I would suggest a bag of coleslaw and a bottle of slaw dressing, a can of Bushes beans, either mashed potatoes or some chips, and some ice cream. Picnic! A high calorie meal, but it is quick, easy, and cheap. They have plastic containers individual servings of mixed fruit, or make your own, if you need something healthy.

My husband ( a chef, owner of a restaurant) had lobster yesterday as a special and he decided to try and see if the batter he uses for fish and chips would work & deep fry for the ones not cooked and used yesterday so I'll be the guinea pig/taste tester

Floured and fried pork chops cooked in olive oil with small amounts of salt, oregano, basil and garlic powder seasoning. Steamed broccoli with real butter and some Lawry's seasoned salt. Italian bread with cheddar cheese melted on it. Warm apple cobbler with cinnamon and nutmeg sprinkled on top of it. A scoop of ice cream wouldn't hurt, if so desired. To accompany all of this, one should enjoy tea drinking with slices of lemon to help soothe all of that heavy food. Whether you are alone or having a calm and peaceful conversation with others, then all should be well. Remember this, "If God be for us, who can be against us?" - Romans 8:31. Peace and God Bless.

We are having friends over this weekend, and were going to drink beer, order pizza, and watch football, but when we suggested that we had fresh bratwurst from a butcher in Illinois, they jumped at the chance. We are having beer brats, german spaetzle with mushroom gravy, saurkraut and red cabbage.

I had stirfry chicken strips made from 98% lean chick breasts, sauteed in a little bit of olive oil and a mildly sweet and sour sauce with native zucchini strips, sliced water chestnuts, and juliene carrots on a bed of mild olive/garlic noodles. Fresh baked reduced fat crescent rolls (Pillsbury unroll type) and a layered low fat pudding dessert. I made tropical fruit smoothies too for our beverage.....All made from scratch...I cook like this everyday due to my husband's strict dietary needs for his heart. This took about 35 minutes to whip up.....I am organized and a good cook!!!!

Since Friday is the end of the week, I refuse to cook. We are having KFC and going to the drive-in movies. Don't cook on Fridays, you will find it ends the week perfect. If you must cook, do hot dogs or hamburgers. Something easy. Save the harder and delicious meals for Sunday.

Leftovers. From last night. Since it's Friday we're going out.
Otherwise make a quick casserole and whack it in the oven.
