Every body is going to give their holier than thou answer that they would have believed, but here is the truth. No matter what time Jesus came to earth or who lived during that time he was here, even modern day, the religious zealots and religious leaders would treated Jesus the exact same way he was treated when he was actually here. Have somebody tell you that you are wrong about the most insignificant thing and you take umbridge. Now some man tells you and everyone you know that everything you believe in is incorrect, your pastors, elders, and/or priests have been feeding you lies to further their own agendas and financial gain. The result would be the same. No two ways about it. Popular speech is the only thing that isn't ridiculed. Its why all politicians are elected based on their campaigns, not on their past or possible future actions.

I can't say. The world is different now. There are a lot of crazies out here so in todays world I probably would dismiss him but back then I might have followed. Hard to say.

Maybe he really was just a nut and God is laughing at us for still believing some ancient tree-hugging hippie after all these years...

I don't know, I'd like to think I'd be just as teachable then, and know that he was the Son of God, what I'd really doubt though, is if would I have the strength to withstand all the roman persecution of the Christians enough to stick with it. I don't know, and frankly, I don't want to know.

Had I lived then, I would have been a simple minded person who did not understand and who was not initiated into the Cult of the Dead (as Jesus was). Therefore, I too would probably have beleived....but it would not make me right in my beleif. It would make me duped by a magician.

If I had heard rumors of a man performing miracles I would have wanted to see it to believe it.
Now I take it on faith.
Then Jesus told him, "Because you have seen me, you have believed; blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed."

I have no way of knowing, because I'm not a Jew of His day and under the thumb of Rome.
We never know, but I surely hope I would have believed.

Wow, that's actually a really good question. I honestly wish I could say that I would have believed in him, but there wouldn't have been any precedent at that point... tough call.
