Pasta comes from a special form of wheat, which could originate from modified seed (F1 hybrid) and could have been sprayed with growth-promoting hormones and countless insecticides. It is very difficult to win with food.

Health "experts" come from many academic disciplines, each of whom have their own views to peddle, as well as doing their best to discredit their rivals' point of view. As such, this is over the top.

I'm a chef and a nutritionist. Take this for advice.

Eat what you wish to eat, but cook your own food from fresh or frozen. Buy your meat from a local independent butcher, not from a supermarket, unless you are convinced that the supermarket meat is top notch. Irish, Scots, Welsh, Uruguayan and New Zealand meats are generally of the best.

Don't eat take-aways, except fish and chips. Avoid fast food chains. If you like burgers, make your own, using prime Mince Beef, breadcrumbs, a little salt and pepper, and an egg to bind them together. You can use yoghurt, rather than an egg, if you like. Try adding a little cumin, garlic and a tablespoon of Boursin cheese.

If you can't cook, e-mail me for further advice!

I know, every other day they are coming out with something else. First they say coffee is bad, now it's good. Etc Etc. I just do my best to eat healthy and incorporate some of the things I know, but I don't watch every little thing... it is just too much! Trader Joes' is a good place to get a lot of healthy food though if you are into that.

Well... yeah, it gets a little annoying. I do Nourishing Traditions style eating/preparing food - at least I get to eat butter!

I'm pretty turned off processed food now anyway, frankly.

errrm what can i eat again instead of listing wot i cant try listing what i can no? coz we cant eat anything these days its about time our government stop-ed selling stupidly "evil" foods and made room for healthier alternatives i know that will diminish freedom of choice to kill our selves but does a burger really need to contain more cows than i care to imagine? more chemicals than some one on e would will fully ingest?
